Set within the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, Oriole Café & Bar makes a heaven-like oasis at 313@Somerset for people to escape from the concrete jungle and ceaseless crowds to flock together like birds for delicate food, great sip of coffee and simply to sit around and talk.

Adorning with Keith Loh, the brain behind’s philosophy has then marked this flagship store in the name of Oriole, the name of an indigenous bird that explains.

Spurred on by his passion, Keith morphs into a food entrepreneur and connoisseur of fine coffee from his banking career, leading to the creation of this ideal spot for casual dining and a chic and lively watering hole that serves up handcrafted cocktails where diners can basically indulge day and night.

And meet the beautiful play of lights captured at bar counter, the fancy spot that tend to caught my attention wherever I am.

Together with an array of professionally trained baristas and state-of-the-art coffee technology, Keith the award-winning café maestro and John Ting the present manager of coffee operations at Oriole Coffee Roasters have created a thoughtful selection of quality coffee beverages, featuring a choice of Oriole’s in house espresso blend or seasonal single origins with other Oriole specials which coffee lovers will definitely be delighted.

Oriole also offers extensive menu for all-day casual dining in order to stand out in the niche café market in Singapore. I had the great pleasure of meeting Bee Jin, the marketing director of an all-round marketing agency for Oriole and several food chain in Singapore where I am still in awe of her recommended dishes for us which seriously worth a thumbs up.

Those crostini? Oops no, Prawn Bruschetta (S10) the baguette slices coated in densely virgin olive oil, garnished with basil, layered with sweet chopped tomatoes and topped with garlic prawns.

The feel of garlic prawns were moist and springy. Decent.

Next, my Egg Benedict and Hot Salmon ($19) turned out to be english muffins, speared with a poached egg on top and the awesome mix of pepper, oak smoked salmon and spinach. Nicely blended with hollandaise sauce.

Before we have put down our forks, the chef further pampered us with Baked Seafood Linguini ($25) where linguini, prawns, scallops and snapper fillets in a roasted tomato sauce baked in parchment paper.

The Café also serves quality food at decent price catering to all walks of life. For instance, their tea-time set such as Waffles and Chocolate for $12 from Monday to Friday (3 – 5pm) would be quite a good choice to get yourself out from heedless of works.


Lastly, Honey Crumble Affogato ($9.50) in a surprisingly mix of vanilla ice cream, espresso, chocolate and honeycomb brunch has catered to sweet tooth like me just awesome.


The freezing blended-like coffee creates a richer way to enjoy this glass of full tasting affogato.

By and large, Orlole Café & Bar is not disappointing as the destination restaurant that famous for its best coffee in town which definitely worth a gastronomic journey. Have you just filled this beautiful café into your next must-visit café in Singapore? I am really wondering, now.
